- 2 min read
While the island offers endless treasures, you don’t need a week to experience its magic. A day spent on the water in Palma Bay reveals hidden caves, dramatic cliffs, and the most iconic skyline in the Mediterranean. With crystal-clear turquoise waters and a mix of luxury and adventure, a 6-8 hour private charter is the perfect way to elevate your Mallorcan holiday.

10:00 – Departure from Club de Mar
Your journey begins at Club de Mar, one of Palma’s most prestigious marinas. After meeting your skipper and boarding your yacht, we’ll head out of the harbor. Keep your camera ready as you glide past the mega-yachts and get your first glimpse of the Bellver Castle perched high on the hill.
12:00 – Cap Rocat: Cliffs and Coffee
Our first destination is the stunning coastline of Cap Rocat. This area is famous for its secluded fortress-turned-hotel carved directly into the sandstone. We’ll anchor near the dramatic cliffs for our first swim break of the day.
Onboard Treat: While you dry off in the sun, enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and a selection of local Mallorcan sweets as you take in the breathtaking views of the Bay.

13:00 – Crossing the Bay to Portals Vells
We’ll then set sail across the open blue of Palma Bay towards the southwest. This is the perfect time to feel the Mediterranean breeze. Halfway through the crossing, we’ll serve a light snack to keep your energy up for the afternoon’s adventures.
14:00 – Portals Vells: Caves and Cliff Jumps
Arriving at Portals Vells, you’ll see why this is a local favorite. This area is home to the famous "Pirate Caves"—massive sea caverns where stone was once quarried for the Palma Cathedral.
Lunch Time: Enjoy a leisurely lunch onboard in this calm, turquoise cove.
The Adventure: Don’t miss the chance to go cliff jumping from the surrounding ledges, or if you’re feeling bold, take a leap off the yacht’s roof! You can also swim into the caves to explore their mysterious, hand-carved interiors.
15:30 – Coastal Cruise & Cala Illetes
We leave the caves behind and follow the impressive shoreline back towards Palma. We’ll pass the scenic spots of Cala Falcó and the lively shores of Magaluf before reaching Cala Illetes. If time permits, we’ll make one final swim stop here to soak in some of the clearest water on the island.
16:45 – The Cathedral Photo Op
As we approach the end of our journey, we save the best for last. We’ll position the boat directly in front of the Palma Cathedral (La Seu). Seeing this Gothic masterpiece from the water is a completely different experience than seeing it from land. It is, without a doubt, the coolest photo spot on the island.

17:00 – Return to Port
We’ll glide back into Club de Mar, arriving just in time for you to head into the Old Town for a sunset dinner. For Bookings, get in contact with us on our Contact www.sailtripmallorca.com page.
